Outlined Text

Here's an easy tutorial to teach you how to outline text.

First, open a new image. The background color should be the color you want your outline to be. Make sure it's big enough.

Second, set up your materials so that the bottom box is the color that you want the text to be.

Third, click on text and set it up however you want it, but make sure you select "floating".

Fourth, type something.

Fifth, Click "apply. The text should have a rotating border like this:

Sixth, go to Selections >> Modify >> Expand.

Seventh, if a box pops up, just click "ok". The "Expand Selection" window will show up. I set mine up to have a 2px border, but you can do whatever you want. Click "ok".

Eighth, the dotted border will be farther away from the text. Press Ctrl + C to copy the outlined text.

Last, Press Ctrl + E to paste as a new selection on an image and position it wherever you want it. You're all done!

A link back is appriciated if this helped you!
