Vintage Photograph
Program Used: Paint Shop Pro 8
Description: Add a pretty vintage photograph effect to your icons.
First, duplicate your background layer and set it to Screen at 100%.
Then, go to Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance. Make your settings to match mine:
Midtones:

0

Shadows:
100
25
-20
Highlights:
15
10
-15
Make sure "Preserve Luminance" is checked. This is what your picture should look like so far:
Make a new raster layer and fill it with #07003E. Set it on Difference at 100%.
Duplicate your background layer and drag it to the top. Set it on Screen at 50%.
Make another new raster layer and fill it with #315969, set to Saturation (Legacy) at 50%.
And you're all done! Add some text, borders, or textures, and you have a nice vintage photograph!
