Icon Basics
So, you want to learn some icon basics? Here are some tips to help you get started:
Make your icons 48 x 48 pixels.
Avatars are 100 x 100 pixels.
The font most people use for icons is 04b. You can download it on most font websites. If you use this font, make it size 6 and make sure "antialias" is not checked.
You might want to try submitting your icons to iconator.com
