Up & Down Animation
This animation is a little bit harder than the fading animation. Make sure your brush is set to a width of 1, and draw a line at the very top of the first letter. Then, draw one at the bottom of the next letter, the top of the next one, etc., until you've finished the whole word like that. (see left)
Then, go to the next frame and make each line go a pixel further, like the image on the right.
Next, take your second-darkest color and draw an identical line a pixel behind the black. Do this for all of your colors. When you get to the end of a new color in your animation, make sure to continue the lighter color into a blank frame. Otherwise it gets cut off and doesn't fade all the way at the end.
