Animation Basics

Learn the basics of animation!

To learn a little about animation, let's animate something I've already made. Right-click and save this image to your computer, then open it in Animation Shop.

You should see something like this:

Now, zoom in as close as you want to. Click on the flood fill tool () and select a color by clicking on the top box and selecting a color.

If you want to make the animation go letter-by-letter, you start by copying () the first frame, and pasting it after current (). Then we fill in the first letter of the second frame. This is what I have so far:

Copy and paste the second frame, too. This time, fill in the H. Copy and paste the third frame, the fourth frame, the fifth frame, and so on until you're done. Click the (View Animation) button to see what your animation looks like. If it's too fast (or too slow), click Edit >> Select All, then Animation >> Frame Properties. Increase the number if you want it to be slower; decrease the number to make it faster.

You're all done! Here's how mine came out. I hope yours looks similar!
